Helping teachers have a greater impact on the lives of their students every day

Being Amazing – A New Book from SITC

You want to be that amazing teacher.

We all do.

What I’ve learned is that “Amazing” just doesn’t happen.

I know when I was first starting out, I wanted to be that “amazing” teacher that students loved, parents bragged about and administrators showed off. Unfortunately, I was too busy just trying to survive my first year to focus on being that amazing teacher.

In this e-book, I share some of what I’ve learned over the years that hopefully will allow new teachers to reach that “amazing teacher” status earlier in their career.

It’s called “Being Amazing – Practical Tips and Strategies for New Teachers Who Want to Have a Greater Impact on the Lives of Their Students.”

Here are a couple of emails that I’ve received from teachers who have read the e-book:

Hi Sam,
Thanks for making your new ebook available!

Your ebook provides really practical tips on how to be an amazing teacher. It’s also enlightening to read about the different situations you’ve experienced, and how you learned from each of them. It definitely puts the job into perspective and reminds me that teaching is about more than just getting through the prescribed curriculum.

Hi Sam!  I just finished reading your tips for new teachers book and was really impressed!  Your writing style was very engaging and hooked me from the beginning!  I work with beginning teachers here in my district and I will definitely be recommending it.

What an important lesson for new teachers to learn that having a heart goes such a long way!  You don’t have to be a pushover, but being kind just takes care of so many problems in the classroom.  Thanks for telling them it’s okay to to care and be kind.

Great book–I always enjoy your newsletters too!
Thanks!
